Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & accessibility
Nothing About Us, Without Us: Georgia has been the gold standard in providing peer support for many years, and in order to remain so -- It's our mission to cultivate an inclusive workplace where individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, able/non-able-bodied can advance at all levels in the organization. We actively seek to amplify the voices of marginalized communities, ensuring that their experiences are heard, valued and integrated into our decision-making processes.
About the A
The "A" in a DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) committee represents the crucial element of accessibility, which ensures that all individuals, regardless of their abilities or circumstances, can participate fully in every aspect of an organization. By prioritizing accessibility, the committee not only fosters an inclusive environment but also amplifies diverse perspectives that enrich decision-making and innovation. This commitment to removing barriers—be they physical, technological, or systemic—demonstrates an organization’s dedication to equity and respect for all voices, ultimately leading to a more vibrant, engaged community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
